Conclusion & Product Rating |
Conclusion With it's active PFC, Over Volt and Under Volt Protection, Short Circuit Protection, Reset Protection, and 100,000 hours MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) it's hard to find fault with the V-Force ST-850P-AF. It's wired design isn't my cup of tea but a lot of people want nothing to do with a modular PSU so it's nice to have the option. It's a nice looking unit and has a quality look and feel to it. We'll have to take a wait and see on the nVidia new release wanting 40 amp on the 12v rail and see how many people are affected by it. There should be enough connectors for the average user and most enthusiasts. To it's credit it provided rock solid voltage under load and at an idle. That goes a long long way with me. If your looking for good solid voltage from a standard sized PSU of the wired flavor the V-Force ST-850P-AF 850watt power supply from Seventeam will do the job for you. Pro's Good Clean Power Great 135mm silent fan (20dB at 500w) Just 3% variance Idle and Load from spot on Plenty of Connectors Nice Cable Bag Con's 35 AMP on the +12v rail might be an issue with the new RX200 family GPUs ![]() ![]() |
