Conclusion & Product Rating |
Conclusion: Sapphire have provided a nice overall package within the HD 3850 1GB, and i'm in no doubt this will appeal to the part-time gamer or indeed those looking for an efficient upgrade for their HTPC.. As an ex-clan leader myself, although the results are excellent for the price bracket this card sits in, i'm not sure this level of performance would be totally acceptable for the hardcore enthusiast or full time gamer alike. Nevertheless we at PC Freaks & Geeks loved this card and the results it chucked at us. Although the HD 3850 didn't blow us away with a result of 18,000+ points in 3DMark 06, what we do have here is a GPU by a well known manufacturer, upgrading at a very affordable price and very respectable test results to boot. As such the HD 3850 come highly recommended from PC Freaks & Geeks and is certainly one you should add to your shopping basket if you require decent performance on a budget. We would like to thank Sapphire for making this review possible. ![]() |
